The people have spoken: / Obama is in! / Who'd ever have thunk / in '07 he'd win?
He came out of nowhere / and lit up the sky, / and most of America said / "What a guy!"
The liberal media / made him The Man, / as every "reporter" / turned into a fan.
Prepare for a future / of liberal screed / from Pelosi and Murtha and -/ Omigod! - Reid!
Has he ever run anything? / No, he has not. He / has no real credentials. / So what? He's a hotty!
He's promised us oodles / of dreams, hopes, and changes, / but making them real / is the thing that deranges;
For change has a price tag / and hope has a cost: / Taxpayer, dream on / till your last buck is lost!
Sez he'll rob from the rich / to give to the poor. / Sounds a bit Socialist, / doesn't it? Sure!
Health care for everyone / sounds pretty fine, / till you're waiting for yours / at the end of the line!
That war in Iraq - / it can't end soon enough, / but B'rack will discover / that ending it's tough!
Terror still threatens; / hostility lingers: / You can't end a war / with a snap of your fingers!
The people have spoken! / Long live the new prexy! / Whatever his shortcomings, / say it! He's sexy!
And four years from now - / you can bet your sweet tush - / whatever his failures, / they'll blame 'em on Bush!

PETER DZWONKOSKI displays greater command of the English language in one single poem than George W. Bush ever did in 8 (very) long years as president...
