You can get into artist Albert Paley's head this week through the documentary "Albert Paley: In Search of the Sentinel." The film follows the artist's process as he created the largest public sculpture on a university campus, his "Sentinel" that graces RIT. Written, produced, and directed by local filmmaker Tony Machi, the film is narrated by actress Jane Alexander. The free screening, taking place at Penfield Public Library, 1985 Baird Road, will be introduced by Machi with a Q & A following. Call the library at 340-8720 to reserve your seat for Sunday, November 23, at 2:30 p.m.

The next day, Monday, November 24, you can get even more Paley. Author Linda Shearer holds a book signing for "Albert Paley: Threshold" at Pittsford Barnes & Noble, 3349 Monroe Avenue, at 7 p.m. With photographs by Bruce Miller, the book documents the construction of Paley's latest work, a structure dedicated to the steel service industry.
