SYNTH ROCK: Shiny Toy Guns (11/21)

Shiny Toy Guns gained some exposure a few years ago when the band's urgent-sounding "Le Disko" was used to score some cell phone commercial or another. You might remember the opening phrase "Hello little boys, little toys," cooed by the improbably named Sisely Treasure in a way that manages to be both erotic and emasculating at the same time. That's my kind of gal. The band's sound mixes cheery and slick synth sounds with grungy guitars. It's good stuff.

Just to correct you on an error. Their new album features the lovely Sisely but the old one, with "Le Disko" on it, was with Carah Faye Charnow. So we never did hear Sisely on that commercial bit because she was not yet part of the band.

Also that picture on your blog is showing Carah, not Sisely.
